Japanese Kimono

Kimono Fabrics, textiles and Japanese Kimono fabrics can all be found on the relatively new website of clothaholics.com. All of the kimono fabrics on the site are imported from Japan. These narrow-width kimono fabrics have been used to make kimono for hundreds of years. Each bolt of fabric is produced for one kimono - the Japanese don't do production runs of thousands of metres so there is a high level of hand-finishing, e.g., hand-painting, stencilling, ikat, tie-dye, etc. The fabrics on the site date anywhere from the 1940's to last year. Their narrow width makes them ideal for scarves, hanging banners, table runners and cushions. See their website for more information.
